Science is the Key to our future

... Or so I believe. Science promotes education (it is if anything continuous learning), helps find cures and prevention to diseases, helps make our lives more comfortable, helps us communicate with more people more quickly then ever before, and it can help prevent, and predict disasters (maybe not perfectly but we are working on that) as well as many other applications. Where would we be with out innovation and science? We wouldn't have tang or velcro with out the space program, and every field of science has given us technologies that we use today, or help by forecasting; i.e. weather, space phenomena, stock markets, drug release and decay times.

With the US presidential election coming up, it is important to know where the candidates (as well as our congress men and women and senators) stand on promoting and funding science, as well as their views on science in general. Please help the Science Debate team by signing their petition. They have come up with 14 questions for the presidential candidates and 7 questions for the congressional representatives. This is an exciting election for many reasons, but lets not allow the politicians to only give us sound bites, lets make sure they understand the state of the world, the state of our country, and have thoughtful, insightful, well comprised answers.

P.S. Sorry about the writing, this is why I put up photos instead.
