The rest of the trees

Here are the rest of the trees that I took photos of on my way to school. Better photos will come soon.

A Look Back.

Since today is the last day in April I have decided to post my five favorite photos thus far. If you don't agree with the top five, let me know which ones you would have picked. In no particular order...

The different trees

Today on my way in to school I decided that I was going to do a series of photos on the trees that I pass every morning. Now I know that these are not high quality photos, but just remember I took them before I had my morning coffee. I'll get better ones later.

More will come later... Also if anyone knows the names of these trees, it would be great to be able to add captions to these photos. Thanks

A taste of home.

Okay, I know that I am a Scandinavian American who lived most of her life in Wisconsin/Minnesota and Colorado, but I've been craving Illegal Pete's and all the other fast food Mexican restaurants. Besides what's more American then something that originated from Mexico?

There are no black beans here in the super markets, and all the "mexican" food you can find are from Old El Paso. I finally decided that paying $1.99 AU was too much for 4 tortillas so I finally sat down to make my own along with my own salsa and I did find Chalupa hot sauce.

I think this is going to have to become a weekly thing, Mexican Mondays... What a great time to start with Cinco de Mayo next week.

P.S. If anyone would like to send me a care package, make sure it includes a good tequila (all they have here is Jose Cuervo) and black beans, maybe some poblano peppers as well.

P.P.S. If anyone was thinking of moving to Australia to open a restaurant and couldn't think of what type might be needed... Come to Newcastle and open a Mexican restaurant with Margaritas (real ones not this fake stuff you can buy in a can) Nachos, Chips and Salsa, and Fajitas, oh and a Mole sauce dish and I'll be there at least once a week.

Lost on campus

This is the web of the golden orb spider.

I think this is a spider, but I haven't ever checked.

I went to pick up keys for my office and my health insurance card and got lost on campus. An hour later I made it back to my office. At least I had taken my camera with me and the rain had stopped so I got some photos, and yes these are all from the university campus.

Here are some photos of this weekends trip to the Hunter Valley. It was raining and cloudy for most of the day, so they aren't that great, but enjoy.

This week

This week I've been so busy moving into my new place, having to get more work done at school, and just life in general that I haven't had time to take any new photos... Thus you get one from the move from Boulder back to WI. I hope you enjoy it I loved the colors and I know that there isn't much else that is interesting with it.

The street that I live on

So this was just a neat little thing I saw on my street. I couldn't decided which one I liked best so you get to see them all, well not all of them, but a select few that I think may be the best.

Street Performers this weekend

I was walking down the street the other day and ran into this group. It was amazing and I know that my photos don't do them justice.
